THERAPY, ART & FOOD

Juli Turpin Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, trained in London now living in Boston where the environment is amazingly conducive to health and healing.

"What’s your biggest fear?"

This question often comes to mind when I reflect on the path that brought me to this work. But more than the question itself, it's the answer that emerged—bypassing my rational mind—that truly guided me:

"Not fulfilling my potential."

At the time, I was in my twenties, grappling with a deep sense that I wasn’t fully accessing who I truly was. While I couldn’t articulate it back then, I now understand that we are habituated to living within a narrow bandwidth of consciousness, far removed from our true potential. This realization has driven my passion to explore how we can align more deeply with ourselves.

The more I explore this work, the more I see the primary responsibility of anyone helping others towards wholeness is to first find that wholeness within themselves. You can only take someone as far as you’ve gone yourself, and I remain steadfast in my lifelong commitment to deep inner work.

My journey as a practitioner began with a three-year training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in London under Michael Kern (author of Wisdom in the Body). I first encountered this powerful, subtle modality while pregnant. After experiencing profound shifts in myself and my children, I felt compelled to understand how it worked and to share it with others.

Soon after, I was drawn to the world of Bach Flower Essences—a gentle yet potent system of 38 remedies that work energetically to guide the personality towards greater balance. Integrating these essences into my practice has allowed me to address the emotional underpinnings of many issues and to better appreciate the dynamic interplay between mind and body.

My exploration of Ayurveda came next. Growing up working in my mother’s organic restaurant, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the role food plays in our health. Ayurveda offers a holistic framework for understanding our body’s unique constitution and provides guidance on how to live in harmony with it. This system doesn’t just teach you how to eat but offers a profound lens into overall health and wellbeing.

In addition to my professional training, I hold a BA in Applied Languages (French and German) and a Postgraduate degree in Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology.

When not in session, I enjoy time in nature with my family, wild gardening, and creating art that explores consciousness, the Shadow, and the unseen aspects of our inner worlds.
